B4 - KARLSSON’S KNIGHTS

Whilst setting up the art generators to illustrate the 12 paradoxes in the B Bierarchy aka The Wooden Idol I came across the Numberphille YouTube video regarding the Red And Black Knights process that creates these amazing patterned images that were truly mind-blowing, so much so that I have become suitably obsessed to the point that I decided to give the art generator its own page. Again based on the brilliant JONAS KLASSON’S idea I thought let’s go nuclear on it and really add some chaos. I know Numberphille also upgraded the process so I will include their bonus video also. I decided to add up to 10 knights and include their bonus video idea of abandoing square once or twice and yes there is also the nuclear button which does what it says on the tin.

And yes I also added 3 types of circular board instead of the default square board.

Still connects very much with B4‘s paradox so I have added the explaination once again below.

B4 is a game of mutual avoidance played on a number spiral by knights that do not all move the same way, so each piece forbids the others according to its own private geometry and the picture is the negotiation between rules that were never going to agree, frozen at the move you happened to be watching, and because what you see at arm's length is a field of colours and what you see up close is a mosaic of four-quadrant quilts, the same image is two pictures depending on how near you stand, neither of them the one the rule was actually playing.
